How the grades are chosen

Same mode, same job. Economy, area clear, single-target bosses, and a body that keeps the economy unit alive. DPS cards from October do not agree across writeups, so a grade is not a claim that one number was measured in this wiki.

S tier

insane-rolesScientistOctober strategy notes call Scientist the economy opener. It pays bonus cash while it fights, and maxing it is described as the gate for placing Engineer Cameraman.

Player decision Place it first on any run you hope to take past Easy, and max it before you widen the board. On a first Easy clear, a cheap attacker matters more.

insane-rolesUpgraded Brute PrototypeCoin-summon mythic from the October 10 patch. The published card peaks at 9,000 area DPS, with 3,600 damage at 0.4 seconds, and already shows 2,250 DPS at level 2.

Player decision Feed this if you own it and the wave that kills you is a pack. It does not replace Scientist.

A tier

insane-rolesEngineer CameramanTwo reports describe the maxed unit: helpers around 3,000 DPS, or a body that fights like a Titan so that two of them take a boss toilet. Before maximum, one walkthrough says it only blocks.

Player decision Grade S only for a run that can pay the last upgrade. If it cannot, leave Engineer off the carry job and use Plunger.

insane-rolesGlitch CameramanSpider Update mythic. The card peaks at 6,000 DPS on a 0.2 second cooldown. Level 3 on that card is 1,000 damage at 0.5 seconds. A walkthrough says the last upgrade jumps the rate from 2,000 to 6,000 per second.

Player decision Use it as the boss hitter next to an area unit. Do not judge the unfinished card as the finished unit.

insane-rolesSpeaker WomanWoman Crate area unit reported around 3,500 DPS at 25 range. It fits a lane without a gem-crate pull.

Player decision Put it on the intersection once you own it. It is the practical area body if you do not have Brute or TV Spider.

insane-rolesTV SpiderHighest single DPS number in the October crate notes: 10,000 area DPS. One player called it a unit that looks early and plays as a mid and late clear.

Player decision If you have it, it is the area slot. If you do not, farm gems after 20 wins and keep a Speaker Woman or Brute plan. Do not empty the coin wallet chasing a gem crate.

B tier

insane-rolesTitan Cameraman1% on one October banner reading. The trade floor prices offers in Titans. A Basic Crate menu reading from the same month puts Laser Cameraman Car at 1% instead, so confirm the name on your card.

Player decision Keep it if you pulled it and can fund one copy. Do not sell a working opener to buy a second unfinished Titan.

insane-rolesPlungerThe cheap body paired with Scientist in the standard opener. Its job is to keep toilets off the income unit.

Player decision Place it second, after Scientist, on runs that do not yet have a maxed Engineer.

insane-rolesUpgraded Videotapper PrototypeSpider Update mythic. The card peaks at 7,500 DPS with an emerald laser, about 1,500 damage at 0.2 seconds. The update log also spells it Videotapper.

Player decision Choose it over Glitch when the problem is one durable boss and you already have area damage elsewhere.

C tier

insane-rolesLarge CameramanEarly attacker in a unit-comparison video. Useful while it still clears the opening. The same comparison treats it as outgrown by the late carries.

Player decision Use an owned copy on Easy and early Normal. Move match cash to a carry when the same wave survives it.

FAQ

Is this the developer's tier list?

No. Grades are an editing choice for one goal: finishing a long run. A unit can be the right Easy opener and still sit lower here because this board is about the late job.

Why is TV Spider not rank S?

TV Spider has the highest single DPS number in the October crate notes, at 10,000 area damage, on a 0.2% pull. It is not graded above units you can actually place, because a plan that requires that pull is not a plan.
